Ya see, I've been doing a lot of praying here lately.
Praying for a child....
Praying for a family....
Yes, I've been praying for this family yet I have no clue who they are.
God knows them.
&
That is just fine with me.
What I do know, I get from her mom's twitter stream or blog posts.
I don't "know" my blog readers or my pals on twitter either.
What I do know, I get from your twitter stream or through your blog posts.
Does that make you any less of a person?
NO!
You are real.
She is real.
We all go through "storms" once, twice and even possibly more times throughout our lifetime.
Some people keep these things to themselves and some people reach out to others.
Layla Grace's mom has reached out to others.
AND.THAT.IS.OK.
She has asked for prayers and thoughts.
One can NEVER EVER have too many prayers.
Ya see, her daughter is only 2 years old and is facing death.
DEATH after only being in this world for 2 years.
Layla Grace has stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma.
C-A-N-C-E-R
Can you imagine?
Can you imagine your baby going through something like this?
Can you imagine not being able to do ANYTHING?
Layla Grace's mom may not be able to do anything medically at this point but asking for prayers.....
She can and DID just that.
What's wrong with that??
Well, if you ask some....
It's annoying.
Yeah, that's what I got after tweeting.
The definition for annoying is above.
It mentions a cough as being annoying.
A COUGH.
This is a sweet and innocent child that we are talking about.
A family that is about to lose one of the most precious things in this world to cancer.
It most certainly does not compare to a cough.
I am sorry if you are annoyed.
Uh, let me take that back.
(because you all knew I would)
Who cares if you are annoyed?
If you don't want to see "such things" on twitter....
GET OFF!
I hear facebook is looking for new people all the time.
(gag)
I could say more about the "annoying" situation but I won't.
I'm trying something new.
I'm going for the "Good Girl" image.

Praying with you and for Layla Grace my friend :)
Well you definitely pulled of the "good girl" thing, good job! I don't think I could have been as graceful as you. :o) I can't imagine what her mother is going through and their family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Whoever the twitter person is needs an icepick through the eye. THAT I would consider "annoying".
I have tweeted about Layla Grace, and prayed for her and her family. I find it unbelievable someone would complain about the tweets or posts about this beautiful angel.
Her story is heartbreaking! I don't pray often. But, I prayed for her...how could you not after reading her story? I would want people to do the same for me.
To those who take issue with this....SUCK IT! Okay, nuff said!
I missed anything about someone being ANNOYED on twitter. All I konw is that I have been praying like crazy for this beautiful little girl and her family. I LOVE that they're on twitter so that I can stay up to date on Layla Grace's condition! I have even retweeted many of those tweets...guess I'm annoying like that... :)
PRAYING FOR LAYLA!
Oh my goodness...that is not annoying by any means...someone thinks that is annoying there is something seriously wrong with me...that sweet little girl will be in my prayers...thank you for sharing!
That is terrible. People who are annoyed by your simple tweet are probably also annoyed by people being kind and kissing someone they love. Ridiculous!! I am praying for Layla Grace. I cannot even imagine what her mom is going through!
I can't believe people are saying it is annoying that she is asking for prayers! Stupid faithless people
I will be praying for Layla Grace and I find it comforting that people are asking for prayer!
ANNOYING? GOD!!! WHO THE F is that insensitive? Annoying it is not. Sad, tragic, heartbreaking, unreal, horrific - that is what this is. A tragedy. This beautiful little girl, lying on her deathbed. SHE IS 2. It's HORRIFIC. My heart bleeds for her, soooo much. I can't imagine the pain her mom feels. What they are going through... it's horrible. And praying I have been, and thankful, along with so many others, too!
Although I don't find it annoying I do, in some way understand why some people would have a hard time with the tweets- whatever word they use. Is it nice to say they're are annoyed- well of course not. But we all deal with these horrible situations in different ways. Some find the news to distressing to deal with so they lash out-maybe by saying they are annoyed or by saying mean and hurtful things. Not healthy, but it happens.
Some people deal with it by going inward, going to a quiet place for meditation and prayer.
Some find comfort in reaching out to others.
They most important thing is we respectothers coping mechanism. I think the best thing to do in this situation is let it go and use the energy to bring peace to Layla and her family.
And certainly if anything annoys someone, as I tell my kids, go to another room and wait it out.
Shame on you. Putting your Twitter voice to use rallying up a prayer army for that baby angel, instead of tweeting what you had for breakfast or what you're watching or what time your mailman comes.
What is WRONG with people? And is it realllly that hard to skip over something bothersome? Why not give equal negative feedback to the vapid updates/tweets/nonsense? Seems like 'Sitting in traffic' deserves a 'You're annoying' much more than a 'Pray for this beautiful child' does.
Thanks for calling my attention to that family's situation. Praying hard!
Thank you for blogging this--I had recently found her blog and twitter site and have been praying like mad.
And who the hell would say that's annoying?! What is wrong with them??? People like that seriously piss me off. This little is fighting a fight that nobody should have to--let alone a child--and her mom asked for prayers and us who support her and Layla Grace ask for prayers.
Whoever said that to you on twitter needs to maybe rethink what kind of person they are--because heartless and bitter? That's no way to live!
xoxo
You have an award waiting for you at my blog - check it out!! :)
Ugh I can't believe someone said it was annoying! How hard is it to skim past stuff you don't want to read? My son has cancer and I'd hate for people to say I was annoying them when I talk about it! It's a huge part of our lives right now!
Annoying... That is the most horrible thing! WHY would someone think asking for prayers for a 2 year old and family suffering is annoying? What is wrong with people?
Praying for Layla and have been for a while (since seeing the tweets and retweets). This family needs as many prayers they can get, and sounds like the person who was "annoyed" needs prayers too. Sad.
This story is so heartbreaking... Sweet baby girl.
I'm not annoyed but I found this particular blog after googling "Is laylagrace real?"
I'm convinced they are real after searching but following the AprilRose scam last year... if I see a terribly sad story and a button to click to donate I get a little nervous.
How sad that in this day and age people use the death of a child as a profitable scheme... when people like Layla and her family actually have to live through (and pay for) it.
Yes, Julianna...
I heard about the April Rose scam also. I would love to say that it "surprises" me but in this day and time nothing "surprises" me anymore.
I am one that never gives money online. I mean, don't get me wrong I would love to help others but you just don't know who to trust these days.
I will offer up a prayer or two though : )
I can't believe people find that annoying! I have been praying for her for a little bit now and she is always in my thoughts. Sweet baby girl.
Wow...I can't believe that someone would even have the nerve...
I have been praying for Layla, and will continue to do so. While I'm at it, I'll pray for the "annoyed Tweeter", that God will touch their heart and help them realize the darkness in their heart...
God Bless Layla!
Just. Holy. WOW! I can not believe some people would be so cruel, so callous, so mean spirited to say something like that about this angel baby who is in the process of dying either today or tomorrow, barring a miracle.
I have been re-posting on FB, re-Tweeting, even posting daily about her on my blog recently and not one person has ever had the audacity to say anything to me like that. I check my stats on my blog and I've had several people read what I've written about sweet little Layla Grace from all over, but not one complaint about it.
Seriously, I try to have my words seasoned with "grace" but in the words of a previous commenter . . . if anyone has a problem with someone Tweeting about this dying child and her family who are all barely hanging on emotionally . . . well, they can SUCK IT.
Too bad the person who said that is not in this room with me.....I'd take that "annoying" comment and shove it right where the sun doesn't shine.
Wow. What a cruel thing to say about this little baby girl.
I've been following her story now for about one week, and every day, nearly every moment, she is in the back of my mind. My heart cries for her and for her family. See, she is just about the exact same age as my son.....and to see his innocence and precious personality shine only reminds me that this little baby girl should have her whole life to look forward to... Not....this.
Never twittered....but do follow her twitter page and facebook page. If right now, I could make one wish to help one person on this earth?? It would be to give that little baby girl a miracle.
Miracles happen? Right? :(
