Get rid of Captcha
It's annoying.
I know....I know....
You don't likey the spammy spam spam.
I understand.
I do.
Why not just moderate the comments?
You can easily weed out all the spam that way too, ya know?
BUT BUT BUT . . .
I don't wanna make my readers WAIT on their comment to appear.
Psst...most of them probably won't mind to wait.
Ya know which of the "captchas" are the most annoying?
The ones that make ya add or subtract.
Too much work just to leave a comment.

Have eleventy blogs? GREAT!! YOU GO GIRL (or BOY)
Uh, but the ones that you haven't updated....
or
the "tester" blogs ? ?
Why have them listed under your profile?
You can hide them by going into your profile under "edit" and unchecking the boxes next to the blogs that you don't want displayed.
The reason for this annoyance-
Say you visit my blog and leave a comment. When I want to return the LOVE, I click on your name and it takes me to your profile page. I then have to click on ALL those blogs just to find your most updated one so that I can comment.
*time consuming*
I'll be honest. Somedays are just not good for blog surfing around here and if I can't find you quick and easily . . .
Well, I give up.

There are a few templates out in bloggy land that make it difficult for readers to comment.
Please make sure your comments are visible.
(font size, placement)
In other words---Don't make us search!

Just say NO to auto-music!!!!!
Music is great.
BUT
When it starts automatically
AND
When you are not expecting it
AND
You have your volume (like) ALL THE WAY UP
It's rather annoying and ....
Well, it scares to MESS outta me.
I will click off of those sites in a heartbeat and I know others that do the same.exact.thing.

I have a test blog thingy and it's not visible on my profile {hooray for me!}, but the other blogs I contribute to are there.
Those fancy playlists that people put on their blogs have the option to not auto start. I use Playlist.com, I've seen it! The second I hear music I'm outta there.
Umm what else. OH! Why do people use the Captcha crap AND moderate? That is one that boggles...
Oops I'm guilty of the "..." too. That I don't foresee giving up. Nopers. :)

Yes yes yes!! I have found some blogs lately that I seriously have to search as to where to leave a comment. And I agree with the list of blogs, I want to go leave some love back but often just give up if I see 5 or 6 or even more!

Great post. You really captchad my attention... (it really is addictive). I will immediately close a blog that plays music. At home I just have dial-up and that takes up major band-width. I also tend to surf with images turned off so the captcha thing is annoying. Moderating is much better for the readers (altho more work for the author)

I keep my speakers off and turn them on when I need them. It scares me when music starts blasting away. I'm a dot dot dot person. I think I'm too old to change. I think I've fixed all the problems on my blog.
I also found on Blogger one can set comments to be automatically moderated after a certain number of days. It is usually on older posts that spam appears. At least that's been my experience.
LOL! Love this list, even though I'm guilty of a couple of things...but they give me something to think about =)
I definitely hate the music. Usually I have my volume off, but if I forget and I am up before the kids trying to get a few moments of peace in, sites that have the auto music scare the crap out of me and I immediately click off of them.
