A PR rep actually contacted her to review one of those (G---AAAA-G) Kidz Bop cds.
I got a little chuckle out of her reply back.
I've expressed my thoughts on the cds here.
can't.stand.hearing.the.commercials.

I am quite thankful that the mmmbop stage is past us now.
(that one was the most annoying of all)
Kids singing=cute
Kids singing songs sang by adults about other adults=creepy
And while I'm at it:
*DISS MODE*
Pre-teens or teens singing ala Barney Tunes or Fresh Beat band garbage tracks= flippin annoying
Corny
&
Cheesy too!
Seriously?

And another thing . . .
I don't get the whole "Beyonce" craze.
I don't.
Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)??

I sooo very much hate KidzBop cd's. It is creepy, very very creepy. Kids should be singing kids lyrics.
I won't comment on Barney. It would just be cruel.
Beyonce - yeah - we'll I probably should keep that remark to myself too. Although I do play the song in the car b/c it's the only song that will get Bubbagirl to stop screaming at me.
Totally with you on them all, girl. Why can't they make up kids OWN songs for them to sing?!

You forgot that those "teenagers" on tv ala Fresh Beat Band are probably really in their 20's. You forgot Hi-5 on Discovery Kids too. I hope my kids give me grandkids some day just for the revenge for making me watch those shows when they're small.
And yes, KidzBop CDs are creepy. Kids should not be singing adult songs with sexual connotations.
I hate the Beyonce video... Hate it more that they think it's appropriate to show on tv (and I dont mean cable either). My kids dont need to see it...

MMMBop WAS written by the kids who sang it, and not by adults. Famously so. So why, if kids singing their own songs is "cute", would MMMBop be "the most annoying of all"?
I don't believe I said anything about mmmbop being sang by adults.
It's sang by kids and yes it is annoying.
