told ya so

I told ya in my last post that yesterday was a bad day for talking to anyone.
I did.

If this cold doesn't leave soon . . . .
I don't know how much longer I can contain myself.

Rewind to yesterday:
I opened the door and what do I see?
5 dogs staring at me.
(of course)

None of them are mine.

I head to my garbage can to toss some trash in it.
I hear growling.
I see another dog heading to my yard carrying a stick.
What happens?

Well, a fight happens.
I scream and yell and pretty much act like a fool.
(I have excuses. I am sick.)

Fight is over.
Well, at least that one.
Here comes the neighbor's dog BIG AND BAD.
He jumps on the OTHER neighbor's dog.
When these two fight....
it's baaaaaaaad

They've been known to fight for 35 minutes without stopping or letting go of the other one's neck.
Yeah, it gets ugly.
They always do it in MY YARD.
MY YARD near MY KIDS or ME....
I was over it.

I yelled at the dogs.
I yelled at the world.
I saw my neighbor peeking out of her window.

I looked straight at the window and said :
"I am going to shoot ALL of these DOGS."
"I AM."

She shut her blinds but I could tell the window was still cracked.
What did I do?

I went inside.
I grabbed my cell phone.
I walked back outside.
and then . . .
I pretended to call someone.
I don't know who I called but whoever it was . . .
Well, they are gonna bring me a gun.

Of course, I don't think I would actually shoot them but if I could get some sort of stun gun.... Oh, I would definitely STUN them.

Guess they won't be inviting the crazy lady to anymore neighborhood BBQ'S, huh?

edited to add:
Before you go calling PETA (rolling my eyes) on me....
I love animals.
I have one.
Guess what?
She's inside.
She's taken care of....
(a little too much sometimes)

Actually, go ahead and call them
Send them here.
I will just let my kids loose on them.

What they heck kinda dogs are around your neck of the woods? I hate wandering dogs - they = trouble. I would have called animal control. I don't do well with neighbours.

Feel better lady.

I gotta think even the PETA people wouldnt support letting dogs fight and beat the crap out of eachother in your front yard... I WOULD however put in a call to the police and animal control. At my old house the idiot next door had dobermans that fought ALL THE TIME - and I mean not just brotherly love style fighting - ripping chucks of flesh off eachother. I called the police - not only were the dogs removed, but he was fined like $1,000 for cruelty and neglect. Am I crazy? Maybe. Do I care? Not one bit! Dogs are better off, and so was I!

There are no leash laws around here. The animal catcher will not come out here in the boonies (county). Spoke with the police several times and there is nothing they can do. HOWEVER, they did say to shoot if they are in our yard.

I'm over these animals.

I wouldn't hesitate to call animal control. My theory is if people aren't going to properly take care of their animals, then they don't need to have them. Dogs shouldn't be roaming free. You never know when one may bite. I've been known to box up cats and drop them of fat the humane society. If they're chipped, they call the owners and then the owners have to pay a fee if they want their cat back. If only we could do that when people let their kids roam.

Paint ball my dear. It doesn't kill, it doesn't wound, it stings and off they go. Of course not close range even dummies know that would be bad. It works on the foxes, the owls, the coyotes. It doesn't however work on the racoon, he stands on his hindlegs and growls. The skunk, well it's best to just shoot them don't like scaring them to much. Phewwwww!!!!
I know, someone won't like this either but if it's me or the kids or even my livestock will tough titty.
They sell little handguns with tiny pellets so easy to use, easy to hid and keep out of reach of little ones. Just a thought!
Have a great day, I just love reading all your thoughts and ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Take care and have a blessed day.
