Good Ol' Granny Goodtimes

REALLY??

.18 cents

That's why we had to wait an extra 20 minutes in line??

Overheard :
beep beep beep

Granny Goodtimes: "STOP!" "WAIT A MINUTE!"

Cashier: "M'aam?"

Granny Goodtimes: "Those tiny tomatoes were supposed to be $1.10 per pound."

Cashier runs them through the BEEPER aka scanner again.
They rang up $1.28

Granny Goodtimes: "NO, THAT IS NOT RIGHT."
Cashier scans them again BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP $1.28

Flippity FLIP FLAPPER someone give GRANNY 18 cents!!!!!!!!!

Oh, let's not forget the extra 10 minutes because you DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO WORK THE DEBIT CARD MACHINE.

:Sigh:

'Tis the Season

Uhhh...
forgot to tell y'all the reason for the 18 cent difference

Are you ready for this?
Granny had one too many TINY tomatoes in her bag.

yeahhhhhh

Guess what else?
The cashier just gave them all to her for $1.10.
She was tired of arguing with "GG".

Thought I'd clear that up for all my frugal friends out there.
Didn't want y'all to think I was trying to take GRANNY GOODTIMES DOWN for being cheap or anything.

IMA cheap too, ya know?

Granny?
If you are reading this....
I still suggest that you learn how to work that electronic card swiper (as you called it).

Also, what were you going to do with those tiny tomatoes?

I'll play devil's advocate here-- I watch the cashier like a hawk as she rings everything up. Too many times I've been burned by incorrect prices and/or not getting credit for coupons. The other day, canned cranberry was 98c, on sale from $1.98. I bought four of them since they were on sale. They rang up full price though! That's four dollars I could have been screwed out of. Plus, around here they have the policy that if it rings up wrong, it's free :) So that 18c would turn into a much greater savings!

Reminds me of one time I was at the grocery store and something rang up "wrong" according to the person in front of me. It turned out the customer was wrong and the store was really standing their ground. It was literally over a matter of a few cents, but noone was giving in and the line wasn't moving. The person I was with took a quarter out of his pocket and gave it to the guy in line and he took it and went on his way. Seriously.

Yeah, I had a similar problem today trying to get a replacement credit card. I don't want to cancel it, it's not lost, it just doesn't work. But apparently nobody knows what I should do about that so I called back and forth between the credit card place and the bank like 50 times and now I am stressed and mad and my problem isn't even solved. Grr!

Granny sounds a lot like me. If it's not ringing up the sale price, I say something, even if it's 18 cents. Go, Granny! But, I definitely know how to work the debit machine way too well.

Tis the season. I think my favorite was the person in the Walmart 20 items or less line who reminded me why I stopped shopping there. They had their transaction split into 4 different orders. They used 3 different credit cards and cash to pay. Not to be a Scrooge, but do you REALLY need that video game and DVD if you're using 3 different forms of plastic to pay? 20 minutes later, I paid for my one thing and left.

if you ever see me standing in line...don't get in line behind me. No matter what it seems I always choose the line with Granny in it :-)
