Squinkies for Nintendo DS

Players immerse themselves in the Squinkies world playing as Squinkies Princess in search of their lost lovable Squinkies friends. Successfully completing a mini-game will free Squinkies which will then be added to the player's collection. The games are easy to engage and fun to play including: Squinkies Match, Squinkies Puzzle, Squinkies Pool, Squinkies Chains, Squinkies Paint or Squinkies Chomp.

With over 250 Squinkies to find and collect, the game is packed with hours of engaging game play. Magic coins can also be earned as bonuses to collect more Squinkies. Just like the toy play sets, players can insert the magic coins into an interactive Gumball Playhouse to add new Squinkies to their collection. All collected Squinkies will be cataloged in their interactive Bubble Bank, complete with animations, music and sound effects.

The game is set to debut April 2011.

I just read this article from The New York Times, Squinkies Maker Savors Demand for Holiday’s Hot Toy.

With the help of “mommy bloggers” and a tepid economy, Mr. Nichols turned the squishy toys, named Squinkies, into a fad.

 

Yep. (shaking head up and down) It's true!

Squinkies is still the #1 keyword used to find my blog and I posted that review back in July!

The Squinkies review that I did on video (Youtube)? Well, it's almost at 30,000 views!

I still can't find them in most stores.

We received a special BUBBLE PACK which included a variety of Squinkies (16 total). Included were babies, kitties, ponies and puppies. Each one comes in a plastic bubble as the "surprize". *Totally cute!

My girls love these.

I split them up between the two of them and I could hear them in the other room trading. 

"I'll give you a pony for that piggy."

~Can you believe it? Squinkies actually brought out the sweetness in them.....for a few minutes anyway.

Psst...You can also add a Squinkie to the end of your pencil or pen. Now that's TRENDY!
