THOSE big straws

So, there I was .....in the kitchen. (Shocking I know.)
loading dishes into the dishwasher

Lil Man walks in and says "Momma, can I have one of those BIG straws like the PRINCESS has?"
Me : "What straws?"
Lil Man leaves the kitchen and comes back with THIS BOX.

Me: "uhhh, NO!"
Lil Man : "Well, Can I have THIS?"

Me: "uhhh, NO!"
I don't think the tampon instruction insert is on our "recommended" reading list this year.

Geesh!
&
Straws?
I didn't even ask but they better leave my straws alone.
THEY ARE NOT CHEAP.
Just picture me on the floor searching for "STRAWS".
(Where are the STRAWS????)

That's so typical of kids. Always wanted our toys.

Oh my god I had a fascination with the tampax holder in my mums bag when I was little. I was FOREVER asking her what it was and what the things inside were for, and what the TAMPAX box in the cabinet was, and could never understand why I used to get a vague answer of "ladies things". What the hell are ladies things??!!! Very frustrating it was too. Humph. Grown ups.

Oh no!!

I have yet to explain those to my kids. And they've asked but I always mumble something about "oh those are just for mommies." ... blah.

LMAO...well I'd rather they were used for straws than what my 2 yr old did with one last week.

She pulled the stuffing out and tried to blog on the applicator like a whistle. LOL

I just spit water out of my mouth reading that last bit.

Why is that they have $874125633 in toys, but they choose THAT to play with.

OMG! My 3 year old just ask me the exact same question the other day... she followed me into the bathroom (like she always does) and while I was gathering up the dirty laundry from the floor (yep, they can't hit the hamper?) she got the box out of the cabinet and said "Mama, can I have one of these big straws?" I said "No, and they aren't straws!" Of course the question, "Well what are they?" came next and I just said - "They are stuff for Mommies - now go play!"

Ha ha ha ha! That is so hilarious! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who just calls them "things for moms". Oh man, I can't stop laughing.

Oh, how funny! THere is something about kids and animals that love tampons? My friends kid or dog always gets into my purse to find them. The dog shreads them the kid just rolls them around. Yeah, everyone thinks they are so great until they have to USE them :)

You don't need to publish, but here is my PSA for the day:
Tampons are not something to skimp on! Do not buy the store brand, pay a little xtra for the Tampax.
