On the hunt for a new bicycle

Our bicycles are shrinking again....

Yes, I just refuse to admit that my kids are growing : (
:Sigh:

How often do you buy kids bikes? We have gone through 2 bicycles each year for each one of our three kids.

We have to buy new either because they have outgrown the old ones, one becomes damaged beyond repair, or just a plain ol' fancy upgrade.

It was actually feeling somewhat decent outside today (Crazy, I know....It's been a scorcher here) so we played outside and  guess what? The kids wanted to ride bikes. We opened the garage to find a flat on Connor's bike, a wobbly wheel....I assume rim issues with Meghan's bike and half of a pedal missing on Reagan's bike.

Come on now!

I guess Santa will be bringing bikes once again this year. Ay Yi Yi!

Let's not forget by this time next year we will have ONE MORE riding around on something too.

Kids and their equipment .....

So, how often do you upgrade bicycles?
What do you look for in a bike for older children 8 and up?
Kids younger are so much easier because all they care about is which character is on the bike.

Speaking of bikes, I really should buy one for myself after the baby gets here. My only problem? Going Uphill
:Snicker:

dENiZEN jeans by Levi Strauss & Co

I always have the hardest time finding jeans to fit my oldest daughter. She is tall and skinny which means if the jeans fit in the waist then they are usually way too short for legs.

There are very few (maybe 2) brands that will actually work for us.

Well, that was until NOW!

We received a pair of the NEW dENiZEN jeans by Levi....

Not only are they super stylish but they fit like a glove.

I was shocked seeing as she did not even try them on before they arrived.

The dENiZEN™ name means “inhabitant” – belonging to a community of family and friends. Denim is in the name, the heart of the brand.

A little bit about dENiZEN jeans :

Premium Fabric & Finishes

dENiZEN™ jeans are sewn from premium heavy-weight denim for exceptional durability, then carefully detailed with vintage-inspired finishes — leaving you with a one-of-a-kind pair that truly lasts.

Quality Is in the Details

From side seams to our durable triangle stitch, every inch of thread counts toward making jeans that stand the test of time. Metal rivets add extra strength by reinforcing the corners. And years of finessing our patterns means you can always count on a tried-and-true fit.

You can find dENiZEN jeans at Target and get this....They are around $17 bucks!
How awesome is that?

We will definitely be buying more in the future.

For more information visit dENiZEN on facebook

I received a pair of dENiZEN jeans to be used with this review feature. I am participating in a special campaign sponsored through Mom Central. The above opinions are those of my own and I was not compensated with monetary payment.

My kids would LOVE this (Zoku Quick Pop Character Tool Kit)

Moving...

Have I told you that we are thinking about moving? Oh, I didn't? Well, we are. I want to be near the beach. (NEAR AS IN RIGHT ON TOP OF IT) I don't think that will be happening though. Hubby says we aren't made of money. Imagine that!

Yes, we are thinking about relocating at the beginning of the year. Yep, the beach will be in driving distance. I want to leave this icky humidity behind. It's time for a change of scenery. I've already been looking at homes for sale.

I'm a dreamer like that!

If you could move anyplace in the world, Where would it be?

I've always been a tropical loving gal. Hubby would prefer to live somewhere cold though. YUCK!

Anyhoo, Moving is not my most favorite thing to do but if the right real estate opportunity comes along....I am so OUTTA HERE!

Crayon Masterpiece

Ah, the smell of new crayons...
A freshly sharpened box of 64...
Crayola, there SHOULD be only one brand (period).
I refuse to buy any other brand.

I love crayons!

Check out these crayon art projects (of sorts).

I've seen this one on Pinterest all week.
Basically, you hot glue some crayons to a posterboard then set it out in the heat and VOILA...Instant art in a few hours.

We could make some awesome art this week seeing as the heat index has reached an all time high of 115 over the past few days.

Here's another version except this one was made with crayons inserted into a hot glue gun . . .

Check this out . . .

That's creative!

Love this crayon bowl
