Mommy wants flowers for Mother's Day

Mother's Day is this coming Sunday. Have you bought your mom's gift yet? If not, then you better hurry! Have no clue what to get mom?

I highly suggest making her a Mother's Day topiary using fresh cut flowers. NEVER under any circumstance use fake flowers. That would probably be some sort of decorating faux pas.
(and if it isn't then it should be!)
My topiary was made possible thanks to Colombia, Land of Flowers. They sent me everything that I needed :
fresh gerbera daisies
Colombia, Land of Flowers coffee mug with floral foam insert
rubber bands
ribbon
&
step by step instructions
All I had to do was put it together and add my own personal touches.
~~~
I love fresh cut flowers in my home. Not only do they release a sweet aroma but they make the house seem just a little more cheery! Of course, around here I have to consider weeds (with roots attached) as a type of fresh flower because that's the kind that my sweet kiddos like to pick and bring me.
Yes, I display them proudly too!
You can view my video below. Go ahead and snag my ideas too.....I don't mind because I know they ROCK!
oh, and here's the instructions for the photo glass pebbles (courtesy of Brassy Apple)
I became a mommy on November 2, 1998 and I could tell you my whole "labor story" minute to minute. I remember is that well. Having a baby is a great experience, like nothing else.
I remember seeing my BIG GIRL for the first time. She was the most beautiful baby that I had ever laid my eyes upon. *Yep, even though she looked like a little alien all bundled up.
I sat there and held her. I checked to make sure she had ten fingers and ten toes.
I was in awe.
I was in love.
I was a MOMMY!
WOW, there is nothing like it.
I became a mommy for the second time on March 5, 2003. I can also tell you that labor story minute to minute. He was my second born, my only son. Would I love him as much as my first?
What would she think? How would we deal with two?
I had questions this time....
However, the minute I laid eyes upon him I knew everything would be ok.
We were a family of 4 now.
We were content.
One girl....
One boy....
It doesn't get any better than this!
BUT WAIT
Here comes a VERY BIG surprise.....(More like a shocker!) WHA? HUH? HOW? lol
December 9, 2004, we welcomed our third child into this world. It's another GIRL!
The labor story was a lot bumpier this time around but yes, I can also tell you about each minute and each hour up until she came out.
She was a little stubborn.
She wanted to do things her own way, I suppose?
She still does!
But there she was.....Another baby girl.
Um, a baby girl that had no name. OOPS!
(Don't worry, We did give her a proper name before leaving the hospital though.)
She was beautiful and we were now a family of 5.
WHEW...
Some days they may work my nerves, they may exhaust me, and they may test me but THEY are still mine and I would not change A THING.
My kids are my life!
I am no longer just LINDA.
I AM A MOM.
I am Meghan's mom.
I am Connor's mom.
&
I am Reagan's mom.
and
I love my new name(s).
Special thanks to Colombia, Land of Flowers for making my Mother's Day even more memorable.
I love my mother's day topiary!
Wow Linda! That is awesome! I love how you added pictures to personalize it. I use the photo glass marbles for magnets, I never would have thought about using them in plants. Great job!
The flowers are lovely...but I like fake flowers better. They don't need water & they don't die :)
Really though, I'll take chocolate over flowers any day!
